Meet The Team

Help! There isn't much of a relationship between my daughter and Barney, they tend to avoid one another!
Over a number of sessions I have been working with Dad, Mum, Daughter and Barney to build their relationship. We have tackled useful household obedience skills with everyone involved in the training and rewards. Alongside this I am introducing the family to a whole host of enrichment games and activities that they can enjoy with their dog. Add to this learning about canine body language and communication in a child-friendly way.

And the result? A smiling little girl and her new buddy with a wagging tail. There's still work to do, but the relationship between them now is evident for all to see!

Will you lead a workshop for Evesham Dog Training Club?
I was thrilled to be invited to lead Kids & K9's workshops at the Evesham Dog Training Club field at Ellenden Farm Shop during July, August and October. I have worked with groups of fabulous dogs and their young owners to help them understand how to train their dog successfully using positive reinforcement. We tackled some fun obedience skills, made and tried out some simple enrichment games for the dogs and learnt a little about canine body language and dog care.

As you can see, everyone was chuffed with their achievements and proudly went home with their certificates and rosettes!

If you would like to join our Christmas PAWty on December 6th 2025 please get in touch!

We want to offer Animal Assisted Interventions to some of our secondary school pupils - would you be interested?
I am so excited to be working with Q3 Academy, Langley to offer pupils the opportunity to interact with and learn about dogs. This is a very forward-thinking approach from the school to support those who may find it challenging to transition from home to school at the start of the week, or those who have difficult circumstances in their home or personal lives.

Willow, pictured with me, absolutely loves making new friends ... and Parker gets so excited, despite his advancing years, as soon as he gets out of the van and realises where he is!

We have a Scottie who has territory issues with our neighbours. Is this something you can help with?
Over a couple of sessions so far, I have been working with Rory and his sister, Peggy and their family. We are building up their basic household obedience skills and working on offering Rory other fun, enriching activities to keep his brain occupied - rather than being on patrol in the garden! In future sessions I plan to work on helping Rory to switch off and relax even more.
They are loving playing with their new dog puzzle toys and Peggy is showing herself to be a rather clever little lady!

We are adopting and have two dogs ... can you help with some training to get them ready to introduce young children into the home?
Louise found my details via the Kids Around Dogs® website. Over a series of sessions we have looked at preparing the house physically to ensure that the dogs can easily be managed around the new arrivals. Rudi and Dolly now have a routine of settling in the kitchen when visitors arrive and the family are actively working on modifying their feeding and walking routine to be more flexible.
The dogs are also loving a range of enrichment games and activities, whilst the parents-to-be are learning invaluable information about canine body language which will help to keep all members of their growing family safe and happy.

We would love you to come and talk to our Year 6 pupils about Dog Agility!
It was great to share my passion for agility with a group of 55, Year 6 pupils who were a very attentive audience for my presentation. They were fascinated by how Parker and Willow have trained to learn all of the skills they need and loved seeing their huge collection of rosettes and trophies! There were lots of insightful questions to bring the classroom session to a close.
Everyone's favourite part of the afternoon though was a live outdoor demonstration followed by a chance to meet the dogs. Parker couldn't believe his luck to have so many young ladies stroking him!

Dog Fest are looking for someone to lead the live classes for children at Ragley Hall ... are you interested?
This telephone call came in the very early days of Abi's Pawfect Pals and whilst it was undoubtedly nerve-wracking to be invited to teach at such a huge event it was also incredibly exciting!

I was absolutely buzzing throughout the two days of Dog Fest, leading the four Kids & K9's sessions in the Live Classes ring, complete with a headset microphone!

During my sessions I worked with some amazing children and their wonderful dogs. They learnt a new, useful trick and then explored some fun enrichment games with their four-legged friend.

Smiles and waggy tails all around!
I loved every second of the whole weekend ... and am hoping to do it all again in 2026!
