The Story of Abi's Pawfect Pals

 After 24 years in primary school teaching, 8 years of those as a Deputy Head, fate dealt me an unexpected redundancy. A colleague put me in touch with Kids Around Dogs® and Abi's Pawfect Pals was soon born!​  I am SO lucky and excited to be combining my vast experience of working with children and families and my life-long love of dogs - it really is a dream come true! 

 

Supporting me are my fantastic partner, Mark and the four-footed ones who are both rescue dogs.  Parker (collie cross) was adopted from Dogs Trust in 2012.  He is a mummy's boy who absolutely lives for agility, despite now being 14 years young!  Willow (staffie-whippet, maybe?) was dumped in a park as a puppy, coming to live with me in 2015.  She is a true lover of everything - people, dogs, ball, agility, food ...  We always say that everyone should live life like her!

​Over many years I have relished building my relationship with Parker and Willow through obedience, flyball, cani-cross and agility (reaching Grade 7) and they have grown up happily alongside my niece and nephew.  They are my 'fur-kids' and my absolute world.

And now there's a new addition!  Cleo joined us from Paws a While Shelter in September 2025.  She is a young cockapoo with a HUGE amount of energy and personality!  Having a youngster in the house again is a steep learning curve ... but we're enjoying it and she is doing really well with her training to work with the Abi's Pawfect Pals 'team'.
